RARE LIMITED LEICA M6 " COLOMBO " EDITION WITH MATCHING SILVER 50mm SUMMICRON !!

Description: Offered to you is this very nice and rare limited edition of a Leica M6 "Colombo" set in silver. Only 200 pieces in total of “Colombo” Leica M6's were ordered by the Italian Leica distributor Polyphoto in 1992, to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of the 1st American voyage of Columbus. These editions were originally delivered without a lens but due to the high collectors’ demand , they forced Leica to produce a specially engraved Leica Summicron-M 1:2.0/50mm lens, available only to owners of the Colombo camera at the time, which were delivered in 1993. This Leica M6 “Colombo” we’re offering is the “complete set” , so the chrome M6 has a matching 50/2 "Colombo 92" Summicron. The top plate is engraved "500 Colombo 1492-1992," as is the body cap and both the camera and the lens carry the same limited edition number : T32. The special edition numbers were divided in 5 groups of 40 cameras. A group starts with one of each of the 5 letters in "I-T-A-L-Y", then counting from 0 to 40 and as mentioned ,this particular set has got the special edition number "T 32". It’s all in a mint condition as you can see on the attached images and comes in the original boxes with all the papers and certificates included.
