This compote is actually a very light pink-purple color which has been almost impossible for me to capture in photographs. It is not completely clear glass, even if it appears that way in some photographs. Definitely has a pink-purple hue to it. Hopefully that comes across in some of the many photographs I took; with AND without flash and from different angles etc. Absolutely gorgeous piece - my husband, who generally could care less about such things, even remarked on its appearance and wondered if we shouldn't keep it!! ;-D
