Description: This is an early American wall clock. The maker is unclear to me, but the movement is similar to movements that I have seen from Atkins. The case is heavily enameled, or shellacked wood or early composite with hand painted floral designs. It’s a clock that I haven’t seen before, and it appears to be very original. The condition is good. The dial shows slight wear but looks like original paint. The case is sold and in good condition. There is a trap door at the bottom of the case to hang and start the pendulum. The clock was not hung but it ticks when the pendulum is shifted and strikes when the hands are cycled. The clock is largely untested but appears to be complete. It’s being sold as found. It’s a really interesting, early, probably civil war era case that you won’t see again. It’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!
