Rare Jumeau 221 GREAT LADY 9-1/2" in Box Cabinet Doll Bisque-Head French Antique

Description: Rare 9-1/2" Jumeau "Great Lady"In Original Box Marked: "221 3/0" Original Vintage Doll - Made in France [ FEATURES AND DETAILS... ] This is a hard-to-find doll from the Jumeau (SFBJ) 221 "Femmes Célèbres" ("Great Ladies") Series. They released only 8 different dolls in this series during or after WWII and, for unknown reasons, they are almost impossible to find today.She comes in her original Jumeau box, and she is dressed in her lovely original ornate costume with stand-up hat. She is 10" tall including the hat. She has stationary blue eyes, closed mouth, wavy blonde hair wig. She has a five-piece body with painted shoes, and a factory-drilled hole in the bottom of one foot that was for a doll stand. This is a very, very hard to find doll by the French dollmaker. [ CONDITION... ] - Beautiful vintage condition -- from a non-smoking environment.- No issues found with the bisque after careful examination. - She has a craze line going down the left leg both in front and back.- As pictured, someone marked "Jumeau" on the back of her head above the number "221." IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE - for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of "hair" lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc., and ... (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors - for example: reset eyes (in most cases!), repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. SO ... Any MAJOR issues -- hairline crack, total repaint, etc. -- would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not. They are to be expected.
