Description: John Wayne fans, this is for you! This is an extremely rare John Wayne Republic Pictures promotional card from the late 1930s! I can't find out any information about this promotional card online, but here's what I can tell you: It is an 8x10 cardstock featuring an airbrushed picture of The Duke on the front of it, and four more pictures of John Wayne in scenes from "King of the Pecos" on the back. That movie was distributed by Republic Pictures in 1936. What's really cool about this is that it talks about his latest movies for Republic, but some of the names of the movies listed don't match up with their real titles, because they were changed before being released. That includes "West of God's Country," which was actually "King of the Pecos" and "G-Men of the Nineties," which was really "The Lawless Nineties." Pretty cool, eh? The promotional card itself has a slight tear at the top, which I show in the pictures. It also has two punchouts on the left side. I don't know if those were originally there or if someone added those. It also had a name written on the back in pencil that has faded. Overall, this is a very unique piece of John Wayne memorabilia!
