This shell was recovered from a lake bed in Hardee County Central Florida and is from the Pinecrest Beds of the Tamiami Geological Formation. Shells from this area have some incredible color combinations and are often referred to as * BONE VALLEY BLUES * by collectors. This shell is coated with a thin layer of high quality clear topcoat to preserve and restore the original colors of the shell. After sealing, shells have a beautiful permanent wet look.
