Rare Error Plate - The plate is an Edelstein Bavaria Maria Theresia Germany plate but the mark on bottom of plate is Winterling Kirchlamitz Bavaria West Germany The first pictures show the Edelstein plate listed with the Kirchlamitz mark. Then showing a Edelstein Bavaria Maria Theresia plate correctly marked with the Edelstein mark. The Edelstein Porcelain Factory in Bavaria, Germany produced Maria Theresia porcelain from around 1931-1974. The factory closed in February 1974 and many of it's workers found jobs at other porcelain factories in the area. Including the Winterling factory in Kirchlamitz. The Winterling Kirchlamitz Bavaria mark was used 1950-1990. So during this time frame the Edelstein Bavaria plate was incorrectly stamped with the Winterling Kirchlamitz Mark! This is a very Rare Error Plate. If you come across this error with another plate please send me the info. I have not been able to find another.
