Description: Very Rare piece Salvaged from iconic Detroit Steamboat! This Mahogany Molding Fragment was salvaged from the Bob-Lo Steamboat S.S. Ste. Clair in 2007. The Toledo Shipyard used wood, canvas, and homasote panels to decorate the rooms on the boat such as the pursers office and first aid. These panels could be removed to reach the electrical wiring that was run behind the panels if there were problems. This wood fragment comes with a DVD that shows the partially intact rooms and their dismantling in 2007 when the boat was gutted. In another eBay listing I have a homasote panel with flowers you can see under years of paint, dogwood flowers were used on the Ste. Clair Steamboat and roses were painted on the Sister Ship Columbia. Remember folks there are NO more wood pieces available from that boat. All that was left was burned up in the fire of July 6, 2018. The size of this salvaged piece is approximately 10” x 6 1/2” x 7/8”. The piece is being sold as is! See all photos as they are part of the description. Great conversation piece! Displays Great!
