Description: Rare antique empty perfume bottle of Chypre. Chypre is the name of the island of Cyprus in French. Cyprus is the island where Venus the goddess of love and beauty was born. CARR-LOWRY CL for WRISLEY COMPANY. MADE IN U.S.A. Could this be one of the original early bottles of Chypre MADE IN AMERICA. The labels are in fair to good condition, as shown. *** The bottom of the bottle is embossed with L over a C and a number 5 or backards 2. *** On the lower front of the bottle is a label that says Wrisley Quality. The bottle is a beautiful deco design with glass top and stopper. The stopper goes into the original cork which has some wear to it from age.
