Description: Beautiful and rare Brush McCoy 4" jardiniere, with Cusick's Sylvan/Woodland design, in a rich gloss green glaze. A.L. Cusick, who was the celebrated designer for Brush-McCoy for roughly the first half of the 20th century (1908-1946), designed this beloved Sylvan or Woodland pattern in 1912, depicting stately trees with a fence in the background. My research indicates that these small Sylvan jardinieres date from 1916. The well-preserved green glaze is in good shape, with faint crazing. The usual factory divots (see photos # 7, 9), no other defects. Even the bottom is beautifully glazed (see photo # 10). Approximately 4” high and 4.75” across. This offering is part of our slow-motion estate sale -- Mother collected McCoy for about 40 years, with all periods represented in her vast collection, so let us know if you are looking for a particular McCoy piece. Each item will be meticulously cleaned and shipped with the utmost care. We try to use all recycled/reused boxes and packing materials, so the box you receive may not be beautiful, but rest assured, your item is safe! (I used to ship eggs from our farm, as far as Alaska!) Hoping to find good homes for Mom's treasures!
