Description: This listing includes an VERY RARE Bell & Howard 6" f/2.5 E.F.L Aerial lens for large format cameras. This less was produced in the 1950s for like format cameras like the Speed Graphic Aero Ektar from 1955. -FD 5.955-IRFD 5.973-SERIAL NO: #2012 Front and Rear steel lace caps included. This lens does not include the original box or instructions. This glass was rescued from an old unit and does have some dust that has built up over time, this lens is very heavy and in EXCELLENT condition. The lens has a slight amber cast when looking through the glass; This specific lens was made for only a single year, in 1955. The amber color was not original to the lens, but is radioactive decay that over time causes such lenses to darken and yellow. This is reversible by treating the lens with UV light, which restores the glass to a clear state. SELLING UNTESTED AND AS IS!
