This combination produces a soft and direct light over a relatively large surface area. It has a small door that can be opened for shooting through it. The Diamond box is an ideal light source for portrait and fashion photography. In addition, its use for still-life photography can combine high color saturation, contrast, and richness in the details and shadows. By opening the frontal square of the diffuser, some direct light now reaches the subject, increasing color saturation and making shadows harder. The direct reflection of the light source onto a specular surface will produce a lively sparkle.
