Description: Offered here is a rare vintage hardcover book on Ayurvedic medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine: Past and Present, by Pandit Shiv Sharma and edited by Dr. Kailash Sharma, M.D. This is volume 18 of Krishnadas Academy Ayurveda Series, published by Krishnadas Academy sometime during the 1970s. Printed in Varanasi, India. There is also an ink stamp on the front free endpaper indicating that this book was either sold or housed at the Vishwa Shanti Ashram in Bangalore. Condition: Overall excellent condition for age. Dust jacket has some marginal shelf wear including rubbed margins and bumped corners. Hardcover has edge wear along cover boards and lightly bumped corners. Pastedown endpapers are somewhat rippled, likely from the adhesive used during binding. Front free end pages and the first 10 or so pages have light crinkling near the spine, also likely a result of the binding process. No marks whatsoever on the interior. Thanks for looking!
