Description: Some 25+ years ago I was able to buy a salesman large portfolio who worked for Philadelphia Electric at least from 1932, from paperwork that I have, and then left there in 1939 to work for Westinghouse. He was a lighting specialist and was involved in introducing a new type of lighting lighting for commercial and home use which was fluorescent lighting and also "Scientific built in lighting, called Lumiline lamps, which was similar to fluorescent. I could not bear to part with the photos, letters, the salesman hand written and typed introduction of the new lighting, letters to magazines, and also magazines. But it is time to part with these and share the history. This auction is for a Wesco World Magazine, (a Westinghouse Electric Supply Co.) from April 1942, during World War II. This is an in house magazine. There is an add showing Wesco speeded war chemical plant job 59 days and other references to war time. The pages in the photos on the left has an article about Bad medicine for Big Bombers. The page on the right has an article about F.A.Gayer, Phila. Lighting Specialist, who is the Salesman who's portfolio that I have. The article continues on page 16.I will be listing other items, including original photos, letters, magazines, etc. soon. So if you like this please check my other listings coming up.
