Description: Rare Antique Wire Wrapped Blown Mercury Glass Baby Jesus Christmas Ornament This ornament is in great condition for its age. It does not have a cap as the wire star is covering the pike. Therefore I have not identified the manufacturer or origin. It may be Czech but I don’t know for certain! The body has a bumpy pinecone mold and the head is a 1.25” round ball. The wire star is 2” wide and the ornament is 5” long. It has a gold ribbon trim used as blanket wraps on the front. There are no cracks or chips to the glass and no damage to the wire. It has little wear and age. It’s evident this ornament has been well maintained over the years. Please refer to the pictures as they are part of the description. Please be advised I’m not an expert in vintage and antique ornaments. Although I do try my best to research I’m still learning. Anything I’ve disclosed is the best to my knowledge.
