Description: This listing is for a GORGEOUS set of four (4) Wedgwood dinner plates. The pattern is X6191. I could not find a name for this number. This number is painted on the bottom of three plates. Wedgwood in the 1800's had an alphabet/number identification system. This pattern was produced in England between 1895 - 1908. There is a hand painted rose in the center of the plate.Surrounding that is a rim with various designs in white and light green.Gold gilding paint is used to outline these designs. Some of the gold in the light green areas is raised. The white outer rim has another gold design. The gold gilding is also hand painted. All this beautiful decoration is on a pure white china background.Plates measure 10 1/4" in diameter. The condition is very good considering their age.No chips, cracks or crazing. No paint loss. Some gold gild loss. Appears to be mostly from stacking.Minor, and very few, utensil scratches.Any white lines or spots are from natural or overhead lighting. These plates are truly a rare find.
