Nash, 97, oldest registered nurse in the state, died Thursday night at the Chesterield Convalescent Hospital in Chester. Mrs. Nash, formerly of East Haven, was born in Chester, Nov. 29, 1866, a daughter of Davis Burr and Lucinda Lynde. She was the widow of George F. Nash. She was graduated from the Connecticut Training School for Nurses in New Haven in 1896. She was a retired nursing superintendent at the Wallingford Masonic Home and Hospital. She leaves a son, Harold F. Nash of Killingworth, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Old Stone Church, East Haven. The Rev. Karl Phillippi, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport. The Swan Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements."
