Description: This listing is for a gorgeous antique Scottish grandfather/ long case clock. This piece is by John and William Mitchell of Glasgow (Scotland) circa 1830s. The case is quite unique as it was made in an ornate gothic revival style. The clock has a glass windowed mid- section, silver plated dial, and bright brass hardware, as typical for the Regency Period. The case has ornate flowing carvings throughout and has a nice spire on top. The movement is an 8 day time and strike with a visible second hand and solar calendar hand. The clock appears to be in overall good condition physically. There is an age line in the mid panel of the base, which is typical for grandfather clocks of this age. The movement was last serviced in 2021. We currently have it running. The gong chime has a nice sound. Please note that any type of mechanical clock that is moved or shipped might require adjustments upon arrival, thus time accuracy/running cannot be guaranteed It measures 26.75 x 13.25 x 94 inches Note: this listing is for local pickup only.
