Description: Original CDV of a farm boy holding a gigantic scythe. Based on other images in the album this was found in, I believe the boy was almost certainly a relative of John Rueger, a Swiss immigrant, who operated the Benicia Brewery in Benicia, California beginning around the time of the Gold Rush. CDV is 4" x 2.5" an in very good antique condition. Many more CDVs in our webstore.. see last image in this listing for info. occupational genealogy soldier civil war camera political history wia pow
