Description: For sale is a very rare antique Early lighting brass sawtooth lighting trammel, English origin. Trammels were used to adjust the height of lamps and lighting sources. I found one reference online claiming it is paired with brass chandelier. A very unique design of a bird for the adjusting hook. There is also a punched manufacturing signature of C S with a tree motif. This item is very stable with secure connections. Heavy build, common for early brass items.
