Description: Here for the American Girl Doll collector is a gorgeous American Girl Doll Felicity by Pleasant Company--in GOOD gently cared for condition. She is an early 1991 First Edition Felicity with all of the wonderful characteristics of the earliest Felicity dolls. She has the ribbon like wig. The lettering Pleasant Company and the copyright sign are stamped on the back of her neck and the artist mark is visible behind her ear. White neck strings are intact. Tan cloth body is the earlier chubby version and is clean. There is a name (presumably that of the young girl who once owned her) written in magic marker on the bottom of her torso (see close up photo). She may have a shine mark or two but she has no other significant marks or stains that I can see. However, she was a play doll, so she is not perfect. Limbs could stand to be tightened; she is a little wobbly when she stands, but she does stand and hold a pose independently. Gorgeous RARE RED HAIR is still thick and long; however, the ends are a bit dry and could use some good conditioning. She still has a few of her spit curls present but they need retraining. She has the exquisite high color to her face that only the earliest Felicity dolls were given. Reddish brown eyelashes are soft and sweeping. She comes wearing her retired Rose Garden meet dress tagged "made in West Germany for Pleasant Company 1986;" a white shift tagged Pleasant Company; cream colored stockings and black buckle shoes. She has a replacement ribbon in her hair. A beautiful vintage Felicity! From my smoke-free home.
