Description: Circa 1929, this is the A.C McClurg 1st edition (Zeuschner 821) in very good + condition in a facsimile dustjacket. The cover has some slight mottling, but the book has a tight binding, square and firm, and the interior of the book is near pristine and perfect. Only six thousand of these were printed. Here, almost 100 years later, is a very nice copy of one of Edgars Rice Burroughs' personal favorites of his own writings. It's companion book "Apache Devil" are incredibly well written real world stories (no Tharks or Oparians here!) which humanize the Indian tragedies and tel a bang-up adventue story. If you only know Tarzan and John Carter, you do not know the extent of the literary mastery of Edgar Rice Burroughs. See my other ERB listings, I have many Edgar Rice Burroughs original hardcover printings available with both original and facsimile dustjackets. As a rule all my books are in excellent condition, no loose bindings or missing pages. Basically the cream of the crop of ERB vintage hardcovers at remarkably reasonable prices. They are all accurately and properly described. Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
