Rare 1995 UFDC Fred Laughon 15” CHARITY Queen Anne style hand-carved wood doll

Description: This “Charity” not only has remained with her original box, her legs are still wrapped to her stand (from when shipped by UFDC), AND she comes with the letter from UFDC (and her certificate of authenticity)! The wrapping was removed from her arms, but she was left in her box for 29 years! This doll was made exclusively for the 1995 UFDC Convention by the US Historical Society. The box has damage. She has a few stray hairs. Her arms move well at all joints (and hold position). I did not unwrap her legs; it looks like her bottom legs (below knees) are painted white to mimic socks. She has red painted-on shoes. She is about 15” tall. According to the letter from UFDC, she was designed by “renowned wooden toy and furniture maker” Fred Loughon (I believe this is a typo, as the famous doll and furniture maker was Fred Laughon) and is hand-carved. Note: I am clearing out two packed rooms of doll-related items and other things I’ve collected the last 30+ years. I’m pricing them at a lower price than these pieces have been selling for on eBay 1) to reclaim the space quickly, and 2) to Bless someone as I am continually blessed! If they need cleaning, they’re priced even lower! Often, this means less than I paid (and I rarely bought it unless it was a good deal).
