Description: Original TGF Czech made under contract for early East German government armed forces. Very few were made and even fewer actually made it to East Germany in late 40’s or early 50’s. This bayonet is in really good condition. Blade is unsharpened and protected by cosmoline. Pommel of bayonet stamped 222 TGF, and handle has a “E3 (standing lion) 1948 “ stamped into metal. Scabbard stud is stamped same as handle. Many TGF bayonets you find don’t have a stamped matching scabbard. Overall a superb piece for the discriminating collector!! Copies of the WW2 German 98K Mauser were also produced for export after 1945. They were manufactured in Brno, ex-Czechoslovakia.
