Description: A. Harry Moore served three nonconsecutive three-year terms as governor of New Jersey (1926–1929, 1932–1935, and 1938–1941).So, this very rare license plate topper would have been from 1932 or 1938. Measuring 15 inches across, its size matches the large NJ license plates of that era. Still has its original car mounting brackets. It shows wear and some surface rust, but that's because it was actually on a car back in the 1930's. It still has an excellent "look" to it and displays very well. All original paint with no restoration done. It is not "homemade". The letters in "MOORE" are embossed and the black lettering is professionally done. It also has the "paid for by" nomenclature at the bottom (typically required for most official political campaign items). Difficult to read, but last name appears to be "Munch". A really great early NJ gubernatorial campaign item. Yes, it's not "mint", but try to find another....
