Description: Rare Dixie Model 100Hand Crank Starting MagnetoThis mag is in excellent original condition and has an extremely hot spark! I am not sure what all aircraft this was originally used on but I believe it to be post ww1. There are some markings on the base. The condenser bears patent dates of 1915 and 1916. The spark plug wire tower is cracked but this is the only visible flaw. If you look closely at photos of several Boeing P12 and F4B’s being built by Willow Aircraft in Nevada, you can see the same mag in use on the airplanes. There is some interesting brackets on top that I have left in place. The threaded mounting holes are all in good shape. Really nice early mag!If you have any questions please contact me.
