RARE 1878 Royal Worcester Gilded Lion Head CREAMER w/Paw Handle Floral #1258

Description: Rare 1878 Royal Worcester Gilded Lion Head Creamer Model # 1258This rare and handsome antique Royal Worcester Lion Head cream pitcher measures 4-3/4" high by 4-1/2" spout-across-handle and 2-14" across the base. The ivory bisque glazed body is hand painted with three different flowering branches outlined in gold. The lion head spout is wonderfully detailed and is complemented by a gilded lion's paw handle. Stamped in fuchsia as seen, along with the model number and an Rd.No. of 86244, denoting a production year of 1878. There is some fading to the décor in a few small spots, and a tiny flake off the gilded rim spout, shown in detail. The creamer is in otherwise very fine antique condition.
