Description: ITEM: Up for sale is this rare dated 1850 map of GERMANY (this one is listed as a map by J.H. Young). The print is all original and came from a disbound atlas called Micthell's Universal Atlas (on the hard cover) and the titled page was A New Universal Atlas Containing Maps of the various Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World. With a special map of each of the United States, Plans of Cities. The atlas itself was printed in Philadelphia, Cowperthwaite, Desilver and Butler, 1855. The map being offered has some minor tears around the edges, good colors, a few very small stains, the edge defects can be hidden under a matte when framed. There is an inset table of all the German States. The page measures approx. 13 3/4 by 17 inches. Maps will be wrapped in plastic/cardboard and shipped flat via Priority Mail.
