Description: I am offering for sale a 1696 Certificate of Discharge and entry to the military hospital at Les Invalides during the last year of the reign of King Louis XIV. It is signed by the captain of the regiment and a lieutenant colonel. There are two red wax seals on the bottom left corner one of which has the Coat of Arms of Louis XIV. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina and would look great framed. It measures 8 3/4" x 6 5/8".#111
