Flown in Piper Warrior details on the back. Personally Signed by Flt Lt Alan E Bryett. Bomb Aimer on Halifax of 158 Sqb, Lissett during 1943. After operations which included raids on Hamburg, Milan and Peenemunde was shot down over Berlin 23rd/24th August 1943.Imprisoned in Stalag Luft 111 until the end of the war. Took part in the ‘Great Escape’ 24th/25th March 1944 but was still waiting in queue when the tunnel was discovered. Took part in the ‘Long March’ from Zagan during the Winter of 1944/45 when the camp was evacuated because of the Russian advance. Certified Copy no 0022 of 100.
