RADO DIASTAR Gray Dial, Tungsten Bezel, Original Stainless Steel Bracelet

Description: A great example of a RADO Diastar watch from the 1970's. It comes with the original bracelet and clasp, which are in stainless steel and can be quickly adjusted for any wrist size. The bracelet drapes well and is comfortable to wear. There are some minor scratches on the clasp and on the band on the 6 o'clock side. Lugs are 18mm. The case is stainless steel (case back) and tungsten (bezel) and it is fitted with a sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal was not common in the 70's but was added by Rado to compliment the scratch resistance of the tungsten. There are no scratches on this crystal. True to its claims, the Tungsten bezel also remained 'scratch proof' over the life of this watch. The dial is dark grey and clean. A new battery was installed and the watch is keeping accurate time.
