Description: This show aired in August, 2002, and Dick Bartley celebrated the year 1969. But first, Hour One is titled "The Best of Paul Revere & The Raiders! Hour Two is "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." Obviously the first two hours of the show feature the hits of Paul Revere (along with other great music.). Then, we return to the powerful year of 1969. Hour Three is titled: Hits & Headlines of August 1969!" Then Hour Four: Unforgettable August 1969!" The narration and programming is outstanding, as usual, from Mr. Bartley. Tracks 7 through 10 are bonus tracks, clean copies of songs Dick made available to radio stations who may have not had them in their libraries. This week, track #7 is a DJ favorite, "Rings" by Cymarron (the original hit.) Cut 8 is: Rings by Lobo! Interesting. Track 9: With This Ring by The Platters, and finally the wacky "Ring Dang Doo" by Sam the Sham. It's sad, really, that these are the last produced radio shows available for collectors. The CD was the final physical copy of a show which eventually became available as an audio file, WAV or MP3. I suppose there are still digital copies of the logs/scripts for today's shows, but somehow it's not the same. So enjoy Paul Revere and celebrate the year 1969 with this show while copies are still available.
