Description: Aluminum Thermal Conductive Sealant - 12 Fluid Ounce Tube (355 ml) ALUMINUM THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SEALANT is used to displace air gaps and promote heat conductivity between materials in radiant heating applications. The compound is blended with silicone which when cured leaves a permanently flexible sealant layer, able to compliment joint movement during thermal expansion. Sealing of Pipe or Tubing in Aluminum Heat Transfer Plates Just prior to insertion of pipe or tubing, apply a ΒΌ? continuous bead of ALUMINUM THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SEALANT to bottom of the plate groove. Permanently affix heat transfer plate to substrate surface (subfloor, sleeper tracks, joists, studs, etc.). Prevent movement of pipe or tubing until sealant has fully cured. Creating a Thermal Bridge Around Tubing in Heat Transfer Panels Apply bead of ALUMINUM THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SEALANT to sides of exposed tubing. Use a plastic putty knife to trowel sealant level with the panel surface. Note: PEX tubing should be secured prior to applying the sealant as to prevent tube from shifting while sealant is curing. Bridging Material Layers for Thermal Conductance Apply sealant to one or both material layers being adjoined. Use of a trowel to level sealant prior to adhering materials is recommended to ensure adequate surface coverage. Adhere and maintain pressure between material layers to devoid air gaps, as possible. Materials must be clamped or fastened together until sealant has fully cured.
