Description: Rare Rabone/ Chesterman P/N 1382GG,12 inch "Spirit" Vintage? Machinist Level in Factory Box. Graduations = 300mm per 12".Though likely vintage, cannot claim it for sure. In 1963, J Rabone & Sons merged with Chesterman. The combined company was then taken over by Stanley in 1990. So this unit was made sometime between 1963 and 1990, which means for sure it becomes vintage as of 1/1/2025.Note: The plumb vial is empty. I cannot see any crack(s), but obviously there has to be a hole somewhere. Cross check vial is good.Box is a little cheesy if you're used to Starrett or Brown & Sharpe Mahogany, but it's factory.
