Description: PLEASE NOTE: I am always happy to combine postage for multiple purchases. The condition of the items is as shown in the listing photographs but if you have any questions or concerns please just ask me. This is an original 'crossing the line' certificate (measures approx. 23 x 15 cms.) with its' original envelope addressed to Master Coltart. This would have been handed to Master Coltart as the aircraft, a Qantas Short Empire flying boat VH-ABF named 'Cooee', crossed the Equator line on its route. Signed by Captain H B Hussey on 3 March 1941 this aircraft would probably have been flying on the Sydney - Singapore - Sydney route during WWII. A full history of Captain Hussey may be found on the website of the South Australian Aviation Museum at https://www.saam.org.au - and very interesting it is.
