Description: Vintage Maxfield Parish style Butterfly Putnam Fadeless Dyes-Tints / Bissell's Store Newcomb New York advertising fan (Newcomb is located in the "heart" of the Adirondack Mountains brief history general store restaurant turned into grocery store gas station back to grocery store was in operation from the early 1900s until the mid 2000's when the last surviving family member passed away). Unmarked exact copyright date is unknown 1920's era. Cardboard fan with wood handle, measures approx. 6 1/2" side edge to edge, 8" top to bottom edges. In great condition for age no holes, rips tears handle is attached firmly coloration is bold and bright. There are a few imperfections that include paper is peeled in a small area upper front corner, opposite corner has a couple small knicks on side edge, back has turned darker and has a slight warp.Even though fan has a few imperfections it is in great condition for age it would make an excellent addition to any collection.
