This specimen is from Boekenhouthoek, Mkobola district, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa (formerly thought to be from Magaliesberg Mountains, South Africa). The spirit quartz is also known as the cactus quartz. This piece features smaller crystals of amethyst creating an interesting and sparkly appearance that have grown on the main crystals. This piece measures overall 9.5 cm wide by 7.5 cm tall by 6.5 cm front to back. There is slight bruising around the base.
