Description: A piece of 90s music history, this Hudson Valley NY-based zine is known for having the first feature-length magazine feature article on Shabutie, who would later go on to become Coheed and Cambria. This is a rare (only 1000 copies ever made, only a few hundred in existence) zine is from the original print run, stored safely in new condition until today. It's 64 pages long and printed black-and-white on light newsprint, with a spot blue color cover. In addition to the Shabütie feature which documents their origins and early years, it includes features on or interviews with the following NY bands: Cirrhosis, Fuse, Jerk Magnet, Joey's Throwing Elbows, Mearth, Ninety-Nine Cents, One King Down, Painmask, Spin Cycle Lava (still around today), Stealth (featuring members of Bad Brains), Stem, Three, Todd Martin and Vein Feed. Most features contain original photography. The zine is also chock-full of record reviews from indie and major releases in 1999. Unique original illustration on the front was done by Ryan Matthew Cohn (from Oddities). A real blast from the past and chronicle of the peak of a legendary (if small) NY music scene that birthed one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Shipped securely.
