Description: PSL Imperial Empire Austria 6.25" Hand Painted PlateGold Trim, Yellow Flowers, c. 1910s (Jugendstil / Secessionist / Art Nouveau) This listing is for a very pretty hand painted plate that I believe dates to about 1915, with a variety of marks from the PSL Imperial Empire Austria (google details for Pfeiffer & Lowenstein Factory of Schlackenwerth, Bohemia, Austria). The plate features stylized yellow flowers with detailed green leaves, gold trim and highlights, a wide gold band around the rim, and a pale green border. The style can be described as Jugendstil or Art Nouveau. The small coupe plate measures 6.25 inches wide across the rim. There is some wear to the gold trim, most visible at the lower edge (see closeup photo). There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites, and the gold trim on the flowers and leaves is really gorgeous. This antique plate has three different marks on the back. One is a green crown logo with "Imperial | PSL | Empire | Austria." The second is a large gold crown for "Imperial Austria | Handpainted." Finally, there is an incised number under the glaze, which looks like "18".
