Prudens qui Patiens. Anno 1629 Sir Edward Coke (Lawyer) engraving

Description: This fine quality engraving by Payne of the Lawyer, Barrister and writer Edward Coke measures 9"x 6". The plate mark is showing and condition is good for the age of the engraving (circa 1629). It is inscribed "Proof" on the back and has a diagonal crease across the lower right hand corner, mostly in the margin but partly into the image. A scarce and interesting old print.
