Presumed 1st edition. 2 large weighty tomes which provide a fascinating insight into the life of this actor/impresario (as well as a memoir). Both volumes are robust and tight. Exteriors have some age related wear & tear (scuffs/bumps/blemishes etc) but aren't too bad. The end papers and title pages have some foxing but this doesn't extend too far into the main part of the tex blocks. Most pages are clean and bright.
