Description: For sale is a rare pamphlet printed in 1709 at the request of of the Vestry of the Faid Parish in England. The pamphlet was printed and sold by H. Hill in Black Fryar near the Water Side for the benefit of the Poor. The sermon was originally delivered on March 8th 1704 being the Anniversary day of Queen Anne's ascension to the throne of England in 1702. Under Queen Anne the United Kingdom was formed when there became a union of Scotland and England. This pamphlet is an early and historic example of a Church selling something to raise money for the poor.
