Description: This unique antique wooden dough bowl is a stunning piece of naive and primitive hand carvings. It was a gift to my mother by my grandmother, bought many years ago from an antique store. Origin is unknown but would speculate or guess Southeast US, in or near Appalachia. The bowl has a medium wood tone and measures close to 21 inches in size. It is perfect for bread or any other dough product and has a trencher design that adds an extra touch of rustic charm to your kitchen. It is a beautiful piece, there is a small staple insertrd some years ago for stability (prior to the purchase by my grandmother) as per image, it has held. Distress or aging marks come from use many years ago, our family only used it for display. The bowl is an original piece and has not been signed by the dealer or reseller. Its date of creation is unknown, but it is certain to be a conversation starter. The bowl is made of high-quality wood and has a naive, primitive style that adds character to any antique collection and also remains fully functional for daily use if desired.
