Description: Maker: On the reverse of this pretty coupe soup bowl is the red backstamp number 34 of Theodore Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. According to the third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, this mark was in use between 1904 and the 1920s. Design: The bowl is beautifully hand painted in a detailed green floral pattern, in keeping with the exceptionally high quality that made the company's porcelain so famous and so coveted. Condition: It has no cracks, nicks, stains, repairs, crazing or utensil marks. There is some wear to the gold trim, a tiny nick and a chip on the edge that fortunately blend in well with the design. They're shown in the photos with the penny. Size: The bowl is 6 1/2 inches wide, 2 inches tall and weighs 8.5 ounces. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
