Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. Press Photo US troops take over Atsugi airfield's control tower in Japan This is an original press photo. World War II - Surrender - Japan. Yanks took over completely when they moved into the Atsugi airfield, near Tokyo, as the signs on this airport control tower graphically indicate. Signs in English proudly proclaim the presence of the army air forces Third Airdrome Squadron, "First in Tokyo." The vertical Nipponese billboard apparently was left for benefit of Japanese approaching the rickety wooden structure at Japan's prime airport. Photo measures 6.75 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated --none. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK Historic Images Part Number: pim06465 Sell Smarter with Kyozou.Inventory and Ecommerce Management
