Original copy printed by A.W. Hyatt. New Orleans, LA. 255 pages - including engraving leafs. Measures approximately 8.75" x 6.25"Inscribed and signed by General Adolph Meyer to Lt Col E.J. Kursheadt. Both were Jewish Confederate Officers in the Civil War which was not common. General Meyer was the US House of Representative for Louisiana's 1st District from 1891-1908. Original boards have been professionally cleaned, touched up and book has been rebound - no loose pages. The last few pages at the back and the cover page have been patched and repaired. Insect holes through out the book and some damage around the edges. Restoration work was done by nationally known book conservator with over 50 years of experience. All the work done can be reversed in the future, if needed. Paper is not brittle. Extremely rare original copy. Please contact with questions or additional photos.
