Description: This original aviators Flight Log Book belonged to my great grandfather. He was killed in the Kamikaze attack on the USS Bunker Hill in 1945. Prior to serving on the Bunker Hill, he was stationed In Washington DC at Anacostia and he helped test airplanes as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate (AMM), later promoted to ACMM. This log book is blank except for a pencil inscription on each flyleaf. Apparently he was issued this book but never needed to use it as he had other log books (see other listings I have). This log book measures 4 ½” x 7”. If you or anyone you know has any interest in pre WWII airplane history, this original authentic log book would be a historic memento. It is in fair condition. The cover shows wear and marks. For a working log book that is over 80 years old, it has held up remarkably well. This log book will ship USPS Ground Advantage from a non-smoking home.
