Description: Pre-WWI WKC Argentinian M1909 Artillery Short Sword with Scabbard. The ricasso is marked "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co." over "Solingen" and the reverse side is the Argentine crest with "Modelo Argentino 1909". The crossguard is marked "E04147", the reverse side has a sideways "P", the underside of the crossguard has a "C" with "x", and there is an "RA" on the side of the pommel. The spine has an "A" mark. The wood grips have some small nicks/chips/scratches. The blade is mostly clean, straight, tight, has not been sharpened, some no nicks, and has a few spots of dried oil. The scabbard is solid with no dents/dings, a few freckles of surface rust, under the throat screw it is marked "E04147", the backside below the throat screw is a "D" with an "x" inside, the mouth is marked "E" and has a crosshair mark. Length of the blade measures 14 11/16" (1" wide x 1/4" thick), the bayonet is 19 7/8", and in the scabbard it is 20 5/8". Check out my other War items!! Including Many Swords and More Bayonets!!
