Description: Featured is a pair of Super Rare c 1906 Postcards depicting a troupe of Black Singing Waiters ... in White Tie, with their Trays and Music (1st PC) ... 2nd PC depicts the guys drinking Champagne from Flutes (am not sure what that's about). The Singing Waiter was a custom of the finest Restaurants and Hotels ... globally ... and nobody did the job better with more panache than Black Waiters who made it their mission to be the best. If they made it to Paris, so much the better! I think the purple stamp at the lower left corner ( may be a stamp for the particular Paris establishment, but I don't what what it is and am not sure of the letters ... if anybody knows, I would love to know! I am also wondering if these cards were specific/proprietary to the establishment ... because of the way in which the words Carte Postale are crossed out and replaced with "Imprime".
