Description: This is a portrait of Washington that I believe to be by Gilbert Stuart...I don't have any provenance but it is my expert opinion from a lifetime of dealing in art and antiques. I have had it for 35 years and bought it with a Harding and a Huntington that have since been sold...If you want to examine it I can meet in NYC. Again it's obviously a Stuart unless there was another guy making painting's exactly like him at the time.. While uncredentialed I am an expert and it is of the period but was religned in most likely the teens or twenties of the last century....ask any questions
